Bike subscription without CPR or MitID in Denmark

Book a Ring Ring bike without a Danish CPR number. Learn what the form needs, when identification is arranged and why you should not email a passport.

You do not need a Danish CPR number to submit a Ring Ring bike request. The form asks for contact details, bike type and location. You do not pay or upload a passport when submitting it.

A booking request is not an identity check

First, we need to contact you and see whether we can arrange a suitable shop. That is a separate step from handing over a bike. Identification and payment are arranged before a subscription starts.

The Ring Ring concept accepts a passport as an alternative to MitID. We will agree the practical verification process with you before collection. Selecting “passport” in the form does not verify your identity automatically. Wait for specific instructions about the next step.

What to have ready

  • Your name, email and a phone number we can reach. Include the country code if it is not Danish.
  • The city and postcode where you expect to use the bike.
  • A women's or men's bike preference. Height is optional and helps with fitting.
  • Your preferred period and intended start date.

Tell us if your accommodation is temporary. A shop close to an arrival hotel may be inconvenient once you move into a student residence. Sharing the expected move is more useful than pretending the first address is permanent.

Do not email your passport

The booking form does not ask you to upload a passport copy. Do not send a CPR number, passport number or payment-card details in an ordinary email either. If you are unsure about a request, contact [email protected] without attaching identity documents.

The deposit does not depend on nationality

The stated deposit is DKK 300 whether you use MitID or a passport. On the six-month plan, the first month and deposit total DKK 399 when the bike is ready. Setup is DKK 0. See prices and plans.

A deposit is not comprehensive theft cover. The stated replacement charge is DKK 800, with the deposit deducted. Read the terms and confirm the arrangement before starting.

When can you collect?

We accept requests for Copenhagen and Aarhus and contact you about the options. Entering a postcode does not reserve stock. Do not travel to a bike shop expecting a collection until the shop and date have been agreed.

For a study visit, use the semester planning guide. For a short holiday, daily rental may be more appropriate.
