Get a bike
Find your building at Aarhus University
AU’s building maps cover the university’s different areas and include maps for bike parking and pump stations. Search for your building number before planning the journey. “The university” is not a single destination.
If your activities include the University Park and other parts of the city, plan around the whole day. Try the route with its hills and stops before relying on a particular travel time. At collection, make sure you can brake safely and feel comfortable on the bike.
Check parking at home and at your teaching building. If you will leave before a commitment ends, calculate the full payment before choosing a plan. Return must be arranged; it does not happen automatically at the end of the semester.

Questions
What does a bike subscription cost for students at AU?
A Ring Ring bike subscription costs from DKK 89 a month, or DKK 99 per month with a 6-month commitment. Compare the full payment period with the length of your stay.
I'm an exchange student without a CPR number. Can I sign up?
You can select a passport instead of MitID. We agree the practical ID check with you before handover. The deposit is DKK 300, which you get back when you return the bike.
What do I do with the bike when the semester ends?
Agree cancellation, an end date and return with us. A six-month commitment is not automatic cancellation. Return the bike and keys to the shop as agreed.
